長期從事運動系統(tǒng)相關(guān)疾病的遺傳學(xué)病因及其精準(zhǔn)診療,組織建立的“系統(tǒng)解析脊柱側(cè)凸及相關(guān)合并癥(DISCO)”國際多中心協(xié)作組為全面揭示脊柱畸形及相關(guān)疾病的遺傳學(xué)病因及機制、實現(xiàn)脊柱畸形的精準(zhǔn)診療打下堅實基礎(chǔ)。發(fā)現(xiàn)TBX6基因變異是目前為止導(dǎo)致先天性脊柱側(cè)凸的最重要致病因素;鑒定骨骼畸形診療新靶點,研發(fā)生物技術(shù)為基礎(chǔ)的創(chuàng)新型治療方法。共發(fā)表文章300余篇,總IF>700。參加編寫著作14部(副主編3部),獲得授權(quán)專利41項。
